A brief history of CDES<\/h2>\n

Fran\u00e7ois Alaphilippe and Jean-Pierre Karaquillo, associate professors of law, established the Center for Law and Economics of Sport (CDES) in November 1978 as a laboratory of the Faculty of Law and Economics of the \u2018University of Limoges. The aim was to create a tool for expertise and education<\/strong>, specialising in the sport movement. There were two guiding principles for the CDES:<\/p>\n

    \n
  • Innovation<\/strong>, based on expertise and human investment, recognised from the start by sport stakeholders in France and abroad;<\/li>\n
  • A constant and active connection between the university and sports organisations<\/strong> in the fields of education and research.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n

    The comprehensive approach of CDES is characterised by the indissoluble link between the examination of the sport sector and the development of legal tools to help the sector.<\/strong><\/p>\n

    This unique vision is implemented in three main areas of strategic activity: education, publications, and expertise (studies, advice, monitoring, participation in sports bodies, etc.)<\/p>\n

    The objectives of the CDES<\/h2>\n
      \n
    • Train professionals<\/strong> in the sports sector;<\/li>\n
    • Inform and advise<\/strong> stakeholders in the sports sector;<\/li>\n
    • Develop research<\/strong> in the law and economics of sport;<\/li>\n
    • Participate in the management of sports organisations<\/strong>, in particular those where the technical contribution of CDES can be useful;<\/li>\n
    • Anticipate, analyse and fully contribute to the development of the sports sector.<\/strong><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t

      Key moments of the CDES<\/h2>\n

      2017: <\/strong>\u00a012th edition of the Dalloz Sports Code – 5th Council of State \/ CDES \/ CNOSF colloquium: \u00ab\u00a0High-level and professional athletes and the law of 27 November 2015: assessment and prospects\u00a0\u00bb, on 23 June 2017 at the Council of State<\/p>\n

      2016: <\/strong>\u00a01st edition of the D\u00e9fis du sport \/ ALLIANZ becomes an official partner of CDES \/ Convention with the Royal Moroccan Football Federation to develop training programs<\/p>\n

      2015: <\/strong>\u00a0CDES CNOSF DALLOZ conference at the Cour de Cassation \u201cThe compulsory prerequisite for conciliation at the CNOSF\u201d \/ Creation of the 6th CDES training with the launch of the UEFA MIP \/ 10th edition of the Dalloz Sports Code<\/p>\n
