UEFA MIP 3 Graduation ceremony

par Cynthia Angleraud

The graduation ceremony of the third edition of the UEFA MIP took place yesterday at UEFA headquarters in Nyon (Switzerland), in the presence of Mr Aleksander Čeferin, President of UEFA.

After a long UEFAMIP journey, which was supposed to last 18 months but, due to the Covid-19 crisis, eventually lasted almost 3 years, this ceremony marked the final whistle of our collective adventure together.

On behalf of all the UEFA MIP staff and partners, we want to sincerely and warmly congratulate all the participants who, despite very difficult conditions, never gave up and were able to stay focused on the programme. What they have been able to do, in such a context is admirable and definitely reinforces our belief that former international football players have the decisive skills needed to become future leaders in the sports industry.

We wish the participants all the best in both their personal and professional future projects.

We also want, once again, to thank all of our dear partners without whom the implementation of this programme would not be possible: UEFA, University of Limoges, Birkbeck Sports Business Centre (University of London), FIFPRO and ECA.

UEFA MIP ALUMNI

By receiving their diploma, UEFA MIP third edition participants are also officially welcomed into the UEFA MIP Alumni Association, which organised its annual general assembly yesterday.
We also took the opportunity today to thank two of the MIP first edition graduates, Bianca Rech (previous board member) and Bruno Cheyrou (ex-president) for their constant involvement in the association. We also warmly congratulate Gareth Farrelly (MIP 2), elected as the new president and all the MIP 3 participants newly elected to the board (Lise Klaveness, Joao Benedito, David Loriya).
